Flaggers and a pilot car will be in place to guide traffic.   This section of roadway is located from Route J to Route 17 near Winona, Missouri.    Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 20 through Wednesday, May 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.    Seal coats are a pavement repair process that is used by MoDOT on roads with lower traffic volumes to maximize available resources and extend the life of the roadway. Hot emulsion oil is sprayed onto the surface of the road, followed by finely ground rocks which are then compacted to adhere to the roadway.  Excess material is swept off the surface, leaving an improved roadway that will hold up longer against the elements.    The method costs about one third the amount of a traditional asphalt overlay. The treatment keeps water from penetrating the surface, extends the life of the roadway up to seven years, and provides improved traction.    The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.   For additional information at (417-469-9028, MoDOT’s Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (1-888-275-6636), or visit www.modot.org/southeast.   ###      facebook.com/MoDOTSoutheast   twitter.com/MoDOTSoutheast   youtube.com/MoDOTSoutheast    facebook.com/MoDOTSoutheast    twitter.com/MoDOTSoutheast    youtube.com/MoDOTSoutheast      Districts Involved Southeast Published On Thu, 05/16/2024 - 03:59 County Road 413 in Scott County Closed for Culvert Replacement https://www.modot.org/node/47196 47196 at https://www.modot.org Thu, 16 May 2024 08:50:01 +0000 County Road 413 in Scott County Closed for Culvert Replacement Visitor (not verified) Thu, 05/16/2024 - 08:50 SIKESTON—County Road 413 in Scott County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.   This section of roadway is located at the junction of Route W and County Road 413 near Oran, Missouri.
