Show-me Photographs!

We are pleased to offer this opportunity for you to submit your digital images for display on the Official Web Site of the State of Missouri!

We hope many of you will share photographs of your Missouri adventures with us.

Here's the image requirements and how to submit your photo. It's easy!

  • The image must be submitted to us electronically.
  • The image must be a "Missouri" image and appropriate for display on the Missouri state government web site.
  • The image must be no larger in size than 600x450 pixels and no smaller than 300x225 pixels. The image should be formatted to 72 dpi and file size no larger than 500K per image. [Please be advised that it may be necessary to resize your photo or adjust certain elements of the photo such as brightness, contrast, etc.]
  • The image must be in JPG or GIF format.

In an email to , please include the following information:

  • Attach your image (see image requirements).
  • Give your image a title.
  • Give the approximate date your image was taken.
  • Tell us where your image was taken.
  • To receive credit for your image, tell us your name and city/town of your residence.
  • Tell us what category best describes your image from the following categories:

    • Missouri Adventure
    • Missouri Fun
    • Missouri Historical
    • Missouri Lakes, Rivers, etc.
    • Missouri Parks
    • Missouri Plants/Flowers
    • Missouri Rural
    • Missouri Sites
    • Missouri Sports
    • Missouri Sunrises/Sunsets
    • Missouri Weather
    • Missouri Wildlife
    • Missouri Winged Creatures

Disclaimer

  1. Submittal of your photo does not guarantee publication on the web site.
  2. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. The State of Missouri retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
  3. If your photo is used, we will not publish your name as a credit if you request us not to do so. The photo will be credited as "anonymous."
  4. Digital photos will not be returned.
  5. It may be necessary to resize your photo or adjust certain elements of the photo such as brightness, contrast, etc.
  6. Your photo may be used as a featured photo on the Missouri State home page!

Ownership/Use Rights

Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Once you have submitted a photo to the State of Missouri, it becomes the property of the State of Missouri.

When you submit a photograph to be displayed on the State of Missouri website, you are agreeing that you will not receive any form of compensation. The State of Missouri may retain your photograph for archival purposes. Photos will be credited to the photographer named unless photographer requests anonymity. Photos may be selected for display or use in other Missouri state government web pages.

Model Release

Please read, if you are submitting a photo that includes an adult and/or child model. By submitting your photo, you are agreeing to the following:

In exchange for consideration received, I hereby give permission to the State of Missouri to use my name and photographic likeness in Missouri state government web pages.

If Model is under 18 years of age: I am the parent/legal guardian of the individual. I have read this release and approve of its terms.
